Dortech Architectural Systems is pleased to announce the successful completion of our latest education-sector project at All Saints Roman Catholic School, delivered in partnership with Tilbury Douglas (Northwest). With a contract value of over £500k, this 610m² scheme showcases high-performance façade engineering tailored for modern learning environments.

As schools across the UK continue to prioritise energy efficiency, acoustic comfort and natural daylight, the All Saints project demonstrates how thoughtful design and precision-built glazing systems can enhance both teaching and learning spaces.

A Partnership Built on Nearly Three Decades of Trust

Our collaboration with Tilbury Douglas is one of the longest-running partnerships within our organisation. Since 1996, Dortech has successfully completed 83 projects with Tilbury Douglas, representing a combined value of £9.5 million. Notably, the partnership has gained significant momentum in recent years, with 17 projects delivered since 2021, totalling £3.5 million.

This continued growth reflects the mutual confidence and strong working relationship that underpins every project we deliver together.

  • Technal Tental 50 Curtain Walling
  • Technal FZ75 Windows

These systems create a modern, thermally efficient façade that supports the school’s operational needs while ensuring long-term sustainability.

Advanced Glazing Specifications for a Modern School Environment

To ensure maximum comfort and performance, Dortech delivered a series of carefully engineered glazing configurations. These were designed to optimise thermal efficiency, solar control, acoustic performance and overall durability.

Glass Specification:

  • Saint Gobain Heat Soaked & Toughned Cool-Lite SKN183ii
  • Centre-pane U-Value: 0.60 W/m²K
  • G-Value: 0.36
  • Light Transmission: 0.65

The enhanced acoustic performance is particularly valuable in busy educational settings—reducing external noise to create a calm and focused learning environment.

Building Better Futures Through Thoughtful Design

At Dortech Architectural Systems, we understand the important role the built environment plays in supporting education. The All Saints Roman Catholic School project represents our ongoing commitment to delivering façades that blend safety, performance and aesthetic clarity.

The result is a modern, efficient and resilient school building that will benefit pupils and staff for many years to come.

Looking Ahead

We’re proud to have worked with Tilbury Douglas on this scheme and look forward to continuing our support for educational developments across the UK. Through strong partnerships and technical excellence, we aim to keep raising standards in façade engineering—project by project.
