A Significant Project for the Region
The newly developed Pendle Police HQ, delivered by Willmott Dixon (Northwest), stands as a high-performance facility designed to meet the operational needs of Lancashire Constabulary.

These systems were selected not only for aesthetics but for their ability to deliver long-lasting performance, thermal efficiency, and occupant comfort.
Advanced Glazing Solutions for Modern Policing Needs
To meet the building’s specification, Dortech delivered a series of carefully engineered glazing solutions. Each element was designed to balance natural light, durability, energy efficiency, and structural integrity.
Glass Specification
- Glass Saint Gobain SKN183 Heat Soak Soaked & Toughened
- U-Value: 1.0 W/m²K
- G-Value: 0.4
- Light Transmission: 74%
This configuration ensures excellent thermal performance while maintaining clarity and minimising solar gain – particularly important behind the external shading fins.
These areas are engineered for privacy, without compromising the insulation values of the wider façade.
These panels maintain visual consistency across the façade while delivering excellent thermal efficiency and fire-safe performance.
