TECHNAL TENTAL Sloped Glazing

Our aluminium glazed rooflights are constructed using the TECHNAL TENTAL Sloped Glazing system, a high-performance aluminium curtain walling platform designed for inclined façades, roof glazing, atriums, canopies, glazed walkways and large architectural rooflight applications.

TECHNAL TENTAL Sloped Glazing is based on a common 50mm and 60mm module structure, allowing Dortech to manufacture rooflight systems that combine slim sightlines, strong structural performance, thermal efficiency and outstanding daylight transmission.

The system can accommodate glazing from 6mm to 62mm and is suitable for inclined glazing applications down to 10° from horizontal, making it ideal for commercial rooflights, education buildings, public sector schemes, leisure facilities and complex architectural glazing projects.

Rooflight Performance

TECHNAL TENTAL has been engineered for demanding commercial façade and roof glazing applications, combining slim architectural appearance with excellent thermal, weather, acoustic and structural performance.

Sloped Glazing Designed for inclined roof glazing applications down to 10° from horizontal.
Thermally Broken Advanced thermal break technology supports high levels of energy efficiency.
Large Infills TENTAL can support large glazed infills up to 12.25m² and up to 850kg subject to design.
Weather Tested TECHNAL TENTAL is tested for air permeability, water tightness and wind pressure resistance.
Roof Windows Top-hung opening roof vents can be incorporated for natural ventilation or NSHEV requirements.
Natural Ventilation Opening rooflights can support occupant comfort, air movement and smoke ventilation strategies.
Acoustic Performance TENTAL acoustic performance can reach up to 47dB depending on glazing specification.
Architectural Finish Choice of aluminium caps, flat caps and design options to enhance the rooflight appearance.

TECHNAL TENTAL Specification

The TENTAL Sloped Glazing system is part of TECHNAL’s wider circular façade platform, developed to provide architects and contractors with more design flexibility, larger glazed areas and improved sustainability.

Common Structure 50mm and 60mm module profiles give designers a flexible aluminium rooflight platform.
Infill Retention Infills are retained using continuous aluminium pressure plates or punctual pressure parts.
Flat Cap Option Dedicated flat cap options are available for use on transoms and purlins.
Vertical Line Applications Vertical line applications can use horizontal silicone seals between infills.
Opening Vents Roof windows can be top-hung with sizes up to 2.50m wide x 1.20m high and up to 200kg.
System Compatibility Compatible with associated TECHNAL curtain walling, windows, doors and ventilation systems.

Sustainable Rooflight Design

TECHNAL TENTAL supports more sustainable construction by incorporating Hydro CIRCAL® aluminium, which is made using a minimum of 75% recycled end-of-life aluminium.

The TENTAL system has been developed with circularity in mind, using components designed for assembly, disassembly and recyclability. TECHNAL states that TENTAL contains approximately 75% recycled content and 95% recyclable content, helping architects and contractors reduce the environmental impact of aluminium glazing specifications.
