In a drive to reduce the extent of waste from our factory, Dortech is delighted to announce the development of 1D Cutting, a web based programme, designed to optimise material cutting and significantly reduce waste production.
The software can be used for any projects that require sections of materials to be cut from bar lengths. The user simply has to input material references, lengths and quantities required;the software does the rest, even detailing the output wastage for the project.
The beta software was trialled for a number of months and compared against similar, market leading software and was found to outperform its rivals by typically 5.5%.0. Taking just one project alone, over 120 meters of aluminium was saved.
