Dortech has just completed another very successful project for Main Contractors Wates Construction. Dixons Allerton Academy, located in Bradford was designed by architects BDP and incorporated over 2,700m2 for glazing products including; curtain walling, windows, doors, brise soleil and decorative aluminium flashings.
The 14,500 sq meter school started in January 2012 and was designed as a through-age academy, incorporating primary, secondary and sixth formers.
The project will see the school intake expand to 1920 students of age 3 to 19 years.
Dave Price, business unit director for Wates Construction, Yorkshire, said: This marks the beginning of a long-term partnership with Integrated Bradford LEP, which we hope will continue to grow and strengthen.
We have an excellent site team in place to start work and we intend to use our role in this project to provide training and employment opportunities in Bradford.
