Dortech Architectural Systems Ltd is proud to announce the successful completion of our first project of 2025 – Market Place, Farnworth, also known as Farnworth Green. This landmark development, designed by BDP Architects in Manchester, is a transformative regeneration project that brings high-quality commercial and residential spaces to the heart of Farnworth.
Project Overview
Working in partnership with our valued client and main contractor, Vermont, Dortech was responsible for the design, manufacture, and installation of key architectural glazing elements across this ambitious five-building development.
Scope of Works:
✔ Curtain walling using high-performance Technal systems
✔ Aluminium windows to maximize energy efficiency and aesthetics
✔ Entrance doors designed for durability and functionality
✔ Louvres integrated seamlessly for ventilation and shading
The total glazed area installed by Dortech spanned an impressive 2,000m², showcasing our ability to deliver large-scale glazing solutions with precision and quality.
Innovative Glazing for High Performance
A critical component of this project was the incorporation of PLANITHERM® ULTRA N II glass, manufactured by Saint-Gobain Glass. This high-performance, low-emissivity (Low-E) glass offers outstanding thermal insulation, ensuring energy efficiency and comfort for the building’s occupants.
