Dortech Architectural Systems Ltd is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the commercial glazing package for Merrion Street, a new development in the city centre of Leeds. The project has been designed by Brewster Bye Architects, a leading architectural firm with a track record of designing innovative and sustainable buildings.
As one of the leading glazing contractors in the UK, Dortech is excited to be working with Urban Group, the main contractors for the project, and to once again work with their Managing Director Brendon Hutchinson and Commercial Manager Craig Stevens. This project signifies one of many prestigious city centre projects in the centre of Leeds that Dortech has installed.
According to Paul Trueman, Managing Director of Dortech Architectural Systems, “We are thrilled to be awarded the commercial glazing package for the Merrion Street project. We are particularly excited about using Technal’s latest high thermal performance aluminium glazing systems on this project.”
Technal, a long-standing partner of Dortech, will provide the aluminium windows, doors, and curtain walling for the project, which will be manufactured in Dortech’s state-of-the-art facility. Dortech and Technal have worked together for over 20 years, and this collaboration has resulted in the development of some of the most innovative and sustainable glazing systems in the industry.
Brewster Bye Architects, the designers of the Merrion Street project, is a well-respected architectural firm based in Leeds. Founded in 1992, the firm has won numerous design awards for its innovative and sustainable buildings. Some of the firm’s notable projects include the Leeds City College and the Ebor Gardens Housing Association.
