TECHNAL AMBIAL Bi-Folding Doors

TECHNAL AMBIAL aluminium bi-folding doors are designed for large openings, panoramic views and seamless movement between internal and external spaces.

Dortech Architectural Systems Ltd designs, manufactures and installs AMBIAL aluminium bi-folding doors for commercial, leisure, education, hospitality and high-quality residential projects.

With a flush aluminium design, slim balanced profiles and concealed detailing, AMBIAL creates a refined appearance whether the aluminium bi-folding doors are open or closed.

Large Opening Capability

AMBIAL can incorporate up to 10 leaves and create openings up to 12 metres wide, allowing architects and contractors to design expansive glazed openings with outstanding flexibility.

The system can be configured in a straight line or around an open corner, helping create uninterrupted views and highly flexible building layouts.

Each leaf can be up to 1.2 metres wide and 3 metres high, with leaf weights up to 150kg depending on the configuration.

Smooth Operation & Durable Hardware

TECHNAL AMBIAL is supported by exclusive rollers selected for strength, resilience and ease of use.

The system is designed for smooth, durable operation and has been tested to resist 50,000 cycles, supporting long-term use in demanding project environments.

Anti-derailment and anti-lift functionality helps keep the doors securely retained on the upper and lower tracks, while a 3-point locking system supports safety and security.

Thermal PerformanceDesigned to provide high thermal performance, with published Uw values down to 0.95 W/m²K depending on glazing and configuration.
Acoustic PerformanceTECHNAL AMBIAL can achieve acoustic attenuation up to 42dB depending on specification.
Weather ResistancePublished weather performance includes water tightness up to Class 8A and wind resistance Class C3.
Large Glazing RangeGlazing thickness from 9mm to 59mm allows flexibility for thermal, acoustic and project-specific requirements.

TECHNAL extrudes the AMBIAL aluminium system profiles, while Dortech designs, manufactures and installs the completed aluminium bi-folding door package.

Our role is to turn the TECHNAL AMBIAL system into a fully coordinated project solution, supporting contractors, architects and clients from early design through to manufacture, installation and handover.
